Any Differences: No real differences, though John Dark will certainly not dress ass... scruffy.

Starting Location: 1) Locke City, NJ, USA.

Preincarnated History: Jaune Arc belongs to a family of heroes. The sword he uses was passed down through his family, with his Grandfather and Father being soldiers and war heroes. He grew up always wanting to be just like them, wanting to be a hero, but his aptitude for it was nil. Jaune was clumsy, untalented, uncharismatic, and basically unskilled in any facet. He was never to realize his dream.

In Jaune's world, there is a faction that call themselves Hunters/Huntresses, and they are tasked with combating the darkness that descends upon humanity known as the Grimm. In his desire to be a hero, Jaune opted to become a Hunter, but lacked the educational and physical prowess to enroll in the training academy... So he falsified his transcripts. Somehow, he cheated the system to get into Beacon Academy and start his training to be a Hunter.

He wasn't very good at it, and bumbled his way through entry tasks to (somehow) become the leader of a 4-Hunter team called Team JNPR. He learned steadily since that point how to act as a good leader, and after some choice events began to seriously practice his combat skills all while juggling his academics as well.

Upon getting to know Pyrrha Nikos, he discovered that he (like all humans) had an Aura - a special sort of power granted only to creatures with souls. He doesn't fully understand this aura or what powers it gives him, but has accidentally activated it on several occasions. It appears to act as a high-powered forcefield and temporary regenerative boon.

Character: John Dark
Pre-Incarnation: Jaune Arc
Location: Locke City, Dark Estate
Occupation/Position: Student, Locke City Academy/Aristocrat

John comes from a well-off family, his mother and father both being doctors. Given that he lives in a family of money and skill, he attends the Locke City Academy under tremendous pressure to perform well. Because of this, he is stand-offish with his fellow students and can come off as generally being dislikeable. He speaks his mind and doesn't mince words - he also doesn't say nice things very often.

Given his push for performing well, he's rather bright and athletic. Don't worry, Echoes will one day see to that. He may also have a particular sword in his estate that has once belonged to his pre-incarnation. ;3

Pre-Network CR Opportunities: John would know several members of the student body, and be familiar with the faculty as well. Also, his parents, totally.

Open/Wanted CR: Friendship dynamics mostly! John will have to stop being cantankerous one day, and he'll need friends to support him as he descends into being a total goof. Relationships are also on the table, including failed ones as he goes from being an impressive student to being... well, Jaune.

Haunts: LCA, naturally, also the library. As things progress, he may get into video games and being lazy, and eating fast food and things like that.

Potential Subjects of Interest: Weapons. His family owns a sword, and has for generations, and it has always interested him. He'd also be interested in things such as tutoring others and athletic competitions. And girls. You can take the Jaune outta John, but you can't take the John outta... Jaune...? I don't know where I'm going with this.

Other Info: John performs particularly well when it comes to his literary skills, so English is his best academic pursuit. He also tends not to tolerate people who are flaky or just plain dense.

	Adam Taurus ❧ RWBY ❧ dramaticals Jaune doesn't know this guy very well. They talked a bit via audio over the phone once, but that's about it. Over-all feeling so far? Meh.

	Albert Wily ❧ Megaman ❧ onlybuildsawesome A total jerk and a crack-pot. Wily sent a Met after Jaune on two different occasions, and Jaune has trouble beating them due to his limited combat techniques. Needless to say, this guy isn't high on the friends list.

	Betelgeuse ❧ Betelgeuse ❧ betel_geuse Jaune met this ghastly ghost once. While normally Jaune doesn't believe in ghosts, goblins, or anything that isn't Grimm, BJ has a way of making someone a believer. Honestly, to Jaune, BJ doesn't seem so bad - if you can ignore his attitude, smell, and the fact he eats cockroaches.

	Blake Belladonna ❧ RWBY ❧ descendsfromshadow Black licorice~ Jaune likes Blake, he really does, but it's hard to get close to her, especially for him. But he knows she's not a bad girl or anything. She's part of Team RWBY, and kicks all sorts of butt! Jaune can't help but envy her skills a little.

	Captain Hammer ❧ Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog ❧ yesterdays_hero Captain Hammer is, like, totally cool. Seriously, Jaune loves this guy. He's all the manly and heroic Jaune's always wanted to be! But he can say some pretty stupid stuff sometimes... but he doesn't mean it, right? For a while Jaune wanted to be his sidekick, but it seems like the two of them have gone in different directions.

	Cherise Tompson ❧ Original Character ❧ broken_trifecta Cherise is some kind of magician, which is something Jaune knows nothing about. Admittedly, Jaune has a habit of zoning out when she's trying to explain things to him. Once, Cherise taught him the basics of potion crafting, but it wasn't something Jaune was going to pursue. Nice lady though!

	Harry Dresden ❧ The Dresden Files ❧ no_love_potions When Jaune and Harry first met, Jaune accidentally smashed Harry in the jaw with his shield. Harry also seemed to regard Jaune with some suspicion towards his relationship with Ruby. For a while that made Jaune very, very hesitant to even approach the guy. After a while, the old wizard grew on him though, and now Jaune spends his time mentoring under Harry to learn what it takes to be a Guardian. It seems like every day Harry gets cooler and cooler... but man, he's sure stuffy when it comes to rules. Jaune likes this guy, even if Harry seems a little over-protective sometimes.

	Ira Gamagori ❧ Kill La Kill ❧ kiryuin_shield Jaune only spoke to this guy once, but hasn't been able to ignore his public broadcasts. Man, this guy is intense.

	M (Jim Moriarty) ❧ Sherlock Holmes ❧ jim_fixes_it Hate. Hatehatehate. Hate this guy with a passion.

	Kamina ❧ Gurren Lagann ❧ mewhobelievesinyou This guy and his giant robot totally saved Jaune's bacon once during a catastrophe. Jaune really doesn't know the guy, but should really thank him sometime!

	Karina ❧ Rune Factory 3 ❧ lazygurl There are two things certain in Jaune's mind: Karina is cute. Karina is also very lazy. On top of those two facts, she seems almost manipulative. Jaune met her at a grocery store, and upon finding out she'd had nowhere to sleep he invited her to stay with him for a bit. She hasn't left yet.

	Kefka ❧ Final Fantasy VI ❧ warring_triad Jaune only knows one thing about this guy: he's some kind of messed up. But he actually healed Jaune once when he became a victim of an unfortunate cat-scratching incident. Maybe he's not so bad.

	Lie Ren ❧ RWBY ❧ theywerebeowolves Ren doesn't talk much, but Jaune likes him anyway. Guys like them have to stick together! Since Ren is part of Team JNPR, that means they've spent a bit of time together already, but admittedly Jaune doesn't know much about the guy... Again, he doesn't talk much.

	Lust ❧ Fullmetal Alchemist ❧ gorgeous_sin After only a few brief encounters with this woman, Jaune is legitimately scared of her. He watched her get her arm ripped off after slicing up some massive killer zombies, and it just grew back! Needless to say, Jaune has one eye on her at all times.

	Marceline ❧ Adventure Time ❧ smelltheredinside Jaune actually thinks Marceline is very cool. He really digs her laid-back, bad-girl attitude. But the fact she's a vampire makes him a little nervous... But she doesn't seem to be the murdering kind, so she's all right!

	Nora Valkyrie ❧ RWBY ❧ imitationsloth Who doesn't like Nora? Jaune's always pretty glad to see her. Sometimes he can't keep up with her when she's practically bouncing off the walls, but heck is she a comfort to have around! Her AND her grenade-launching hammer! Makes a pretty decent room mate too, and a great member of Team JNPR.

	Orihime Inoue ❧ Bleach ❧ leekspins Orihime calls Jaune "Arc-san," and to him it actually sounds pretty cool. Orihime's pretty much awesome - she's older, and very good-looking. But she's also super-nice of course, and Jaune likes her for more than her looks. He just has a hard time not commenting on them. No romantic attachment, but Jaune's pretty sure he can rely on Orihime for pretty much anything!

	Professor Ozpin ❧ RWBY ❧ shining_beacon Eep! Professor Ozpin! The less time Jaune spends around this guy, the better. He might find out Jaune snuck into Beacon!

	Pyrrha Nikos ❧ RWBY ❧ fieryvictor Pyrrha's a super-star back in Vale, and a strong member of Team JNPR. Honestly, Jaune's very close to her, probably closer to her than the rest of his team, anyway. She has the experience he wishes he had, and the leadership skills. She's always someone he can turn to for pretty much anything.

	Raye Hino ❧ Sailor Moon ❧ flamescout Jaune's giiiirlfriend. Okay, they just started really dating, but still! Raye's... cute. When Jaune's around her he gets nervous, but he's always going out of his way to flirt with and impress her. He's not as suave as he likes to think he is, but he must be doing something right if she likes him as much as she seems to! Not-so-secretly, Jaune wants to see the cherry blossoms with her. They sounded awesome when she mentioned them.

	Ruby Rose ❧ RWBY ❧ onecream_fivesugar Ruby is Jaune's first ever friend upon his arrival to Beacon, and their friendship still remains strong! Okay, lately with what's been going on and all that, they haven't had much time to really hang out or anything, but Jaune tags along with her wherever he can! She got kidnapped once, and Jaune leapt to her rescue with Blake and Yang. That... was scary. He'll never forget how Ruby was after that. But, he got her a puppy and it seemed to help cheer her up. She named it Beo. Score one for the Arc man!

	Sofia Sinclair ❧ Original Character ❧ trigram Okay, so Jaune doesn't know Sofia very well... but when Ruby got kidnapped, Sofia made sure that Ruby was okay right when it seemed like he'd lose one of his best friends. That's a good person in Jaune's books!

	Weiss Schnee ❧ RWBY ❧ combatskirts Ah, the Snow Angel. Alright, so she's a bit bossy, really high-maintenance. Lately though it seems like she and Jaune have been getting along. Maybe they can even be friends!

	Yang Xiao Long ❧ RWBY ❧ solar_flare Stupid, sexy Yang... Yang gets along great with Jaune, and if you asked him, he'd say he gets along with her too. But she always manages to get him to do whatever she wants... she's some kind of witch or something! But then, she's Ruby's sister, too, and a nice girl. Sure, she may not give Jaune much mind, but he certainly likes her!
